Film Mode Entertainment has come aboard to rep international rights to Catherine Keener-starring Little Pink Houses, writer-director Courtney Moorehead Balaker’s drama based on the true story of Susette Kelo, a nurse who takes on a huge corporation that tries to use eminent domain to seize homes in her working-class Connecticut neighborhood. She organizes her neighbors and leads a battle that ends up before the U.S. Supreme Court. Jeanne Tripplehorn and Callum Keith Rennie co-star in the pic now in post-production. Film Mode also is repping sales rights to Fatal Black Films and Elephant Gun Films’ Viking Destiny, a David LG Hughes-directed adventure film about the lives and legendary crusades of Scandinavian explorers.
