11/05/24 ‘Chateau’ Exclusive First-Look Scene Debuts Ahead Of AFM Screening [Watch]

Fresh off our exclusive debut of the Chateau trailer, Film Mode Entertainment has announced the upcoming found footage film as one of their newest acquisitions. They’ll also be hosting a world premiere market screening at AFM. The horror/thriller stars Cathy Marks (American Horror Story, Scream Queens) and Colton Tran (The Sex Lives of College Girls, The Keeper) and is directed by Luke Genton (Snow Falls, The Keeper). Ahead of the screening, we have an exclusive first-look scene from the film!

During a vacation in France, an aspiring influencer stumbles upon a sinister chateau with a dark past. Desperate for followers, she sneaks onto the property determined to stream every moment, but soon her experiment spirals into a chilling nightmare. Unseen forces awaken, her every move is watched, every breath counted, and some visitors don’t intend to let her leave.

Cathy Marks is an actor and producer, known for her roles on global hit shows like Ryan Murphy’s award-winning American Horror Story and Scream Queens. Marks has also been recognized for her recurring role as Young Dina on The Young and the Restless, a role originally made famous by Emmy-award-winning actress Marla Adams.

Colton Tran is an award-winning actor, director, and producer. Tran directed and edited a short film starring Jennette McCurdy and Matt Shively titled 8 Bodies, which is currently being adapted into a feature. Colton has also directed and produced music videos for artists such as Dove Cameron and Todrick Hall and collaborated with Disney Channel on their Zombies franchise. He later sold a script to Awesomeness TV and directed an episode of their horror anthology series, Sleep Tight.

Most recently, Tran directed and edited Killer Date, an award-winning short film on the festival circuit, and in the past two years he has directed three feature films; Snow Falls, Sorry Charlie, and The Bell Keeper (produced by Final Destination creator Jeffery Reddick). Tran continues to hone in on his craft in front and behind the camera with recurring roles on Netflix’s GLOW and HBO’s The Sex Lives of College Girls.
